Rebecca & Marc's wedding was set in The Old Mill in Aldermaston, which dates back as far as 1800’s, when it was used as a working flour mill. The day started with Rebecca & her Dad arriving in a Horse & Carriage, which felt like we had gone back in time to the 1800’s!
How did you & your hubby meet?
My cousin used to go to school with my Marc and his friends. We had arranged a night out and my cousin told me that she had invited these people she knew along. Mark and I got talking that evening, 1 week later we were “official” and we haven’t looked back since. That was 9 years ago!
What was your favourite part of your wedding day and why?
Seeing how much everyone was enjoying themselves was the best part of the day. It’s hard to pick a specific moment, as the whole day went better than we ever could have imagined. The only thing I was ever stressed about before the wedding was whether or not people would enjoy themselves and to see everyone dancing and laughing was just the best!
Was there anything in particular that inspired your wedding day?
Not really, I never had an exact idea of what I wanted but Pinterest definitely helped!
Why did you choose your particular wedding venue?
We’ve always agreed that we would like a venue that was rustic. Something along the lines of a barn type venue, set in fields. When we saw The Old Mill it was exactly what we were looking for. With a venue like the Old Mill it was easy to implement all the ideas that I’d had floating around in my head!
3 Words to describe Rebecca:
Beautiful, Loving, Caring
3 Words to describe Marc:
Tall, Handsome, Funny
Did you DIY on any aspects of your wedding day?
We purchased some outdoor games (giant jenga etc) and hired a band as we had a lot of outside space. We wanted people to enjoy the weather ( which was great) and both these aspects helped and encouraged people to stay outside.
Advice to other couples getting married:
Don’t stress! We planned everything in barely a year. If you hire people you can trust then everything will fall into place. It also helps if you hire people that have worked both with each other and the venue as that takes a lot of pressure off.
What interests do you both have as a couple?
Our main interest is our 3 year old daughter, Lilly. We spend a lot of our free time going for long walks or swimming. On the rare occasion we are child free, we like nothing more than chilling out on the sofa and binge watching a whole TV series!
How was your honeymoon? Where did you go?
We leave in two weeks to go to Vegas!
Finally, What did you think about your wedding photos?
Absolutely perfect. So many shots that captured so many special moments. I knew from when you were the photographer at Chloe’s wedding that I needed to have you for mine!
Thank you so much for choosing me Marc & Rebecca, it was such a fun day and I really enjoyed hanging out with ‘the gang’ again!
